Celebrate National Homebrew Day on May 3rd
National Homebrew Day, the day which we look forward to all year! Come celebrate it with Keystone and make it a memorable one. Of course the grill will be working overtime at both locations, with delicious encased meat products and burgers, plus some vegetarian options. And of course we expect that there will be plenty of homebrews passed around by brewers like yourself. We have some other very exciting things happening that day at both stores, as well:
Bethlehem
We are continuing the tradition of a bourbon barrel brew at Chris Becker’s farm. This year the recipe is for a Belgian Quad: a very strong (typically over 10%!), smooth ale that is somewhat sweet with fruity and/or spicy flavors characteristic of Belgian beers. It should be fantastic with some barrel aging! Call the store for the recipe and directions to the farm.
Montgomeryville
We’ll have a big brew with an optional (and free) special yeast strain available for all participants. Choose your own recipe! We’re also having a coffee roasting demo with Matt from Backyard Beans (based in Lansdale), and a unique opportunity to have some of your finished beer packaged at our canning event.
